Headline: “This Bud’s not for Lohse, Cardinals…”

What can we say, we like sports headlines.
Today’s big winner is STLCardinals.com, who threw their hat into the proverbial pun-enlaced headline ring that was previously dominated by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Hinging on some local alcohol flair, the Cardinals’ affiliate website made sure to highlight the first name of Astros starting pitcher Bud Norris, who continues to baffle the Cardinals starting lineup.
Relish in it, Cardinals fans.
It’s arguable whether or not the “This Bud’s For You…” tagline is still relevant, and available for legal headline puns, nearly two years after the InBev merger (read: pillaging).
We’ll let this one slide, STLCardinals.com….but we have our eye on you.
Besides, “this Bud” is never for Lohse. Seems like more of a Zima guy, as opposed to a hops and barley guy.
