Satn Musial Awarded Presidential Medal of Freedom

According to Derrick Goold of the Post-Dispatch, Stan Musial will be awarded the prestigious Presidential Medal of Freedom.

This, of course, comes on the heels of the Cardinals grassroots “Stand for Stan” campaign that was spearheaded earlier this season. Side note: is it still considered “grassroots” if it was orchestrated by an organization as large as the Cardinals? We suppose it’s neither here nor there. The important thing is that a critical honor will be bestowed on an important man, and one of the last living bastions for the game of baseball.

We turn our attention to some graphics we whipped up earlier this season, when the “Stand for Stan” campaign kicked off.
