The Visual Summary of the St. Louis Cardinals Season as of September 13, 2012

As the 2012 St. Louis Cardinals engage in a frantic effort to match the Braves 2011 collapse that allowed the Birds to sneak into the postseason, there are not many words that can accurately describe how the team has looked over the last several weeks.  Oh we can try:

“hard to watch”
“boring as hell”
“full collapse”
“brutally unproductive”
“even Ricky Horton is discouraged”

But those descriptions don’t do it justice.  Instead, we turn to some simple visual descriptions of this team and this season as of September 2012:

Hang them in your cube at work, use them as your computer wallpaper, pass them out to your out of town friends who will be wondering how the hell the Phillies passed the Cardinals in the standings a week from now, whatever.

Just don’t try to explain this season in words.
