Long was presented with a model HUMMER H2 before being handed the keys to a 2008 HUMMER H2 for being named "Hummer's Top Rookie" at ESPN Zone on Friday.  How one can be declared the Top Rookie when he's never played a game is beyond me.

Last year's winner, Brady Quinn, joined in on the pomp and circumstance.  It's like the previous year's Masters winner presenting the Green Jacket to the current winner,  only the previous winner in the golf tournament doesn't daydream about truly giving a hummer to Chris Long.

Rick, you do realize that David Ortiz is Big Papi right?

Is it off limits here to assert that Bill Simmons wants to give Kevin Garnett, Kevin Durant, David Ortiz, Big Papi, etc. hummers? If not, I would like to be the first one to make that claim about that homo hack of a sportswriter.

Hey doesn't Chris Long look like the dude from Spiderman and Brady Quinn looks like the green goblin

That last line about Quinn really giving Chris Long a hummer made me laugh right in front of my bosses face. Hilarious shit.

So that means next year, the "top rookie" will receive a Long Hummer. Ba-dum-dum.
Chris Long, April 28, 2008 07:04 AM
Because you, sir, are an entire box of tools.
Brady Quinn, April 28, 2008 06:04 AM
Say Chris, how come your Dad never stops to pick me up when I run out of gas on a desert highway?

Long is laughing at how puny the motor of a Hummer is.

Is this meant to imply that Quinn is anything less than 100 percent heterosexual? Wherever would one come up with such a preposterous idea?

Milt May

As a demonstration of his freakish strength, before every game, Giants catcher Milt May held a bat over his head and let teammates take turns doing pre-game chin-ups on it.
