Through the course of any job - certainly blogging - sometimes you reach a threshold where you can chose to put in a little extra effort to produce desirable results...or just keep doing the same old shit.
Fortunately, we reached that threshold last night...and decided that the proverbial "extra mile" line was drawn at mascots falling on their ass. Great stuff.
As most of you have seen by now, Mr. Redlegs took quite a tumble during Wednesday's day game in Cincinnati. Well, mascots don't quit that easily. No no.
They're intense, furry, and most of all, persistent.
That was freaking hilarious. It reminds me of the time Donna ordered a cheese omelette at the Peach Pit and Nat nearly lopped his head off with his metal spatula when he tripped over Dylan and Kelly getting it on behind the counter. Did you guys know I'm friends with Jimmy Kimmel? Adam Corolla would love this video. I'm friends with him, too. Have a nice and crappy weekend, losers.

I hate it when people leave comments about how they hate other people leaving stupid comments :)
Cole, May 9, 2008 06:05 AM
I hate when people leave comments only to complain or explain how they don't like something.
Mr Irrelevant, May 9, 2008 06:05 AM
I hate when you watch a video on youtube and idiots leave dumbass comments like that video was gay. Why the fuck did you watch the video in the first place then?
Bystander, May 9, 2008 04:05 AM
I'm pretty certain that there's a HUGE overlap between two groups: "Youtube posters" and "Most wretched, vapid humans available". A brief look at the comments section of nearly any video would make Gandhi lean toward misanthropy.

Geeze; just post the video Sebek. Too many effects. --- i'm dumb
Sebek, May 9, 2008 03:05 AM
Yea, I really don't understand the YouTube comments. They obviously didn't see the original video. YouTube commenters are freaking weird.
Ryan, May 9, 2008 03:05 AM
Freaking awesome. Read the comments on the actual YouTube video. Why are people complaining that there are too many "effects"? Isn't that the point of the video?
Sandy, May 9, 2008 03:05 AM
You should have used the song "Head Games" by Foreigner
Sebek, May 9, 2008 02:05 AM
What do you mean the video won't play?
Patrick, May 9, 2008 01:05 AM
Rick Astley is indeed a worthy singer.

I was hoping for "Never Gonna Give You Up."
kimpunkrock, May 9, 2008 01:05 AM
Why was the original video taken off of You Tube, what is this mascot anti-Bush?
katy, May 9, 2008 01:05 AM

I was at Wednesday's Businessmans' (or to be PC--'Businessday') Special in Cincy. I must have been in the fifteen (15!) minute line to get a Big Klu (3/4 pound hot dog) and a beer, and missed Mr. Redlegs losing his head like Mr. Wrestling II losing his mask.
