JoeSportsFan

The sports blog Busted Coverage is running a 64 blog bracket style tournament, in the shape of March Madness.  The voting for Round 1 ends Wednesday at midnight.  As of this typing, JoeSportsFan is looking to score a rather huge upset over MLB Trade Rumors.  It may not be that big an upset though, but because JSF earned a #15 seed, it is one.  YAY!  Apparently the tourney committee wasn't impressed with our strength of schedule.

So, if you want to be a pal, get to clicking and vote for JSF.  Voting for Round 2 is Thursday and Friday, with the latter rounds taking place over the weekend and next week during the holidays... Whatever... we didn't plan this.

If you don't vote, that's okay too, as we really don't know what it all means if we win.  But as Pete Ladd once told us, it's fun to win things.

Oh and one other thing: JoeSportsFan is the #15 seed in the Midwestern bracket.  Keep that in mind and you'll save some time.

You're catching up in the voting. 58 to 42 as of right now.

Greg, apparently you've never heard some of the spectacular JSF radio appearances. I like MLB Trade Rumors, it's on my RSS feed (which = coolness). No shame in losing to them. As for the #15 seed, it's a bit of a slight considering we have significantly more traffic than a lot of blogs ahead of us, but like Imig said, it's based on Ballhype rankings which we never fair very well in.

I'm sure another blog tournament will be coming around the corner in no time. If not maybe we create one and rig it so that we win.

The rankings are generated from a couple of things, one of which is Ballhype, which considers post frequency among other things. Since we post 2-4 times a day as opposed to 12, we have a low ranking.

Kilo, you know as well as anyone that even if we're not NOW, we're still awwwsome.

Ouch. Lower seed than a Pacers blog. I had never even heard of it until now. That must be crushing to the ego huh?

So...does this mean that you are or aren't NOW? I'm confused.

yeah, sorry, but no way you can beat mlb trade rumors... he posted a link 15 min. ago, and is already beating you in the poll... and this was posted at 6 or something... also, that blog is not some small scale blog, the guy gets asked onto sports radio talk shows. if it happens in the mlb, he knows about it within 5 min.

It's that damn Craig Littlepage.

I'm still not sure how you only got a 15 seed. I'll just call you George Mason Jr.

I'm not impressed with these smaller scale blogs, like this one. It's all about the power conferences, baby!
