Sunday afternoon was "Pooches in the Park" day at Busch Stadium, in lovely St. Louis, Missouri.  Long story short - pay a ridiculous sum of amount of money to sit in a specialized section that allows you to bring your dog to the game.  Woof.

Frankly, I don't know what the hell is going on in the picture below.  Man dressed as ballplayer, dressed as dog, dressed as man, dressed as Christopher Lloyd.  I don't know.  Your guess is as good as mine.  There are so many weird things going on, if we made a list of odd things in this picture..."dog wearing baseball pants" probably wouldn't break the top 5.

I'm not going to say that dog looks miserable, because I have no earthly idea...but yea, that dog looks miserable.

Good call, Chris. I suppose there were so many elements of this picture that clouded my otherwise sound hat observation skills.

No mention of the guys hat?

Ah shit, you're right ChiTown Steve (months of folding Nautica apparel at my job has fried my brain).

I think the dog is actually the true loser in the pic, or is at least as lame as his owner. Look at the leash: any normal dog forced to dress in a baseball uniform would have run away the moment the guy drops the leash.

Who knew that Albert Einstein is an Albert Pujols fan?

This is what happens when Sherman decides to take Mr. Peabody to the ball park. Or the Shaggy DA wants to take in a "businessman's special". In canis corpore transmuto...

The two dudes could just be caught in an awkward position. I'm more concerned about the gal to the immediate right of the dog man. What is leaning over in front of her? She has her hand on something.

Did anyone else notice the two people (2 dudes?) making out on the bar-chairs towards the very edge of the pic, beyond the blond blue-top?

I believe those are 12 year old NewBalance kicks. Nautica doesn't make a tennis shoe.

Apparently, PETA doesn't have a Missouri Chapter?!!!Throw this a-hole in the same cell with Michael Vick, and, y'know, see what happens.

Nothing like decking yourself out in a complete baseball uniform, but being to cheap to buy the cleats, instead opting for Nauticas that are probably older than most people in attendance. You gotta commit to douchebaggery, Grandpa.

Is that Andy Warhol?

Take a good look...even though he's wearing his "pants" in the pajama style most of us traditionalists hate (thanks Manny Ramirez)...there still enough room at the bottom to reveal what appears to be "stirrup" socks...possibly real sanitaries and stirrups, but more than likely the combo sock. What are the chances this guy isn't gay?

Is my owner wearing uniform pants, and an official belt?
PETA, August 26, 2008 04:08 AM
Dog covered with hair and a polyester jersey = uncool.
JB, August 26, 2008 03:08 AM
People like that shouldn't be allowed to wear Pujols jerseys. They should be capped out at getting like an Aaron Miles jersey or something.
Patrick, August 26, 2008 03:08 AM
That dog really looks more normal than his owner.
Dog's Thought Bubble, August 26, 2008 02:08 AM
If I was two feet taller, I'd push my douchebag owner right over that rail watch him plummet. He thinks he can dress me up like a clown and force me to stand in the August sun for three hours. I'm covered in hair, asshole.
Bob Carpenter, August 26, 2008 02:08 AM
Darn right I do. Doggy humor is a-ok in my book, so long as its never paired with the word "style".
alex, August 26, 2008 02:08 AM
the dog's jersey was Poocholes. The Bobber gives that a thumbs up and a wink.

My word - I love the look on that dog's face.
