There is a long-standing feud between St. Louis and Kansas City, Missouri. Large in part, it's a well-tamed rivalry...since the feud is more about pride for one's geographical allegiance, as opposed to general hatred for the opposition. Moreover, the headline sports teams play in opposite leagues of their respective sport. The Chiefs play in the AFC, the Rams in the NFC. The Cardinals play in the National League, the Royals play in the American League.

On top of that, there's really no point in discussing athletic dominance. The Chiefs last won a Super Bowl in 1969...the Rams won in '99. And if it wasn't for Don Denkinger, we're pretty sure everyone in St. Louis would've forgotten that Kansas City even has a baseball team - just like the rest of country.

Nevertheless, the feud of "Missouri's best city" still exists in 2007, even in the weirdest ways of self-revelation. Take, for instance, the Fan of the Week submission I received from a proud Kansas City resident a few week ago.

The exact contents of the email...
"here is my buddy big red the best mullet in kc and the nation you think you have the best mullets here dont you st. louis suck on this hahahahahahah"

Holy cow, I love user submissions - especially when they're littered with pictures of well-groomed mullets, proud references to friends named "Big Red", and lack of sentence punctuation.

And you thought Missouri was a cow town.

Why would anybody think Missouri is a cowtown? Missouri is a state not a town. --- I'm pretty sure that was sarcasm, LOL. What was it Mark Twain said: There's a fine line between misery and Missouri? I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic too. Mizzou has some beautiful sites, not so sure those can be found at Arrowhead Stadium, from a good male's hairstyle perspective though, if the above is the norm, LMAO!

Something else to add to the feud. I'm willing to bet Schottenheimer is going to be coaching in Missouri again real soon. That's gotta make St. Louisians happy.

Is he actually bragging about better mullets in Kansas City? It's not exactly somehting to be proud of, is it?

If only there was a way to either translplant Busch Stadium next door to Camarohead where Kaufman sits or move Camarohead in that ditch where Busch II stood. Those have to be the two biggest red-neck havens in the country minus any NASCAR track.
