Braves new stadium to feature Infield Fry grill
The Atlanta Braves just confirmed that the team intends to leave Turner Field after 2016 and relocate to a new suburban ballpark. Located just a few miles from downtown Atlanta, the stadium will “combine the aesthetic charm of a 65% capacity Turner with the stale urine smell of Fulton County Stadium”.
The field itself will be modeled after the one used at Turner with a few modifications. The left field fence will be moved in substantially to accommodate Evan Gattis’ range. The right field fence will display an outline of where future Yankees star Jason Heyward currently plays.
Literally one third of half a dozen food upgrades are planned. Among the new culinary establishments is the Tomahawk Chopsticks Native American and Asian fusion grill. For the less adventurous there will be the Infield Fry bar and grill where the specialty is the “Fully loaded infield fries served with a house wine.” Noms.
While many longtime fans have expressed reservations about the move, the opportunity to see the Chief Noc-A-Homa wedding chapel come to fruition may win people over quickly. No news as of now on whether Princess Win-A-Lotta will be asked to return.
