New Acquisition Finnegan Brings Positive Energy & Smack Talk To Entertaining Rams Draft Party
Last Thursday night the St. Louis Rams held their annual NFL Draft Party, and while the night centered around the Rams selection of LSU defensive tackle Michael Brockers with the 14th pick, it was more a celebration of the team’s fresh start under Jeff Fisher.
Without question there’s a renewed Mustached American optimism and bacon-infused vibe around the a team that’s had a rough run since Mike Martz left town.
As much could be noticed around Dave & Buster’s in Earth City where the NFL Draft party was held. While Fisher, his mustache, Rams president Kevin Demoff, and others were huddled nearby at Rams Park — players Danny Amendola, Robert Quinn, Eugene Sims, Jermelle Cudjo, Quinn Porter, Bradley Fletcher, Josh Gordy, Roger Saffold, Cortland Finnegan, Rampage, and a handful of Rams cheerleaders mingled with fans.
Autographs were signed, pictures snapped, the worst chicken fingers ever served (note to D&B), simulated golf shots struck, and thumbs wrestled.
The newly signed Finnegan, a hard-hitting cornerback who played under the watchful eye of Fisher’s lip garment in Tennessee, was kind enough to spend a few minutes with JSF where he talked smack, optimism for the upcoming season, and why he’s the only brother on the planet named Cortland.
