Thoughts From a Message Board: Never Too Early For Rams Doom and Gloom
2012
Lets look on the brightside, Rams fans. Sure the preseason was opened with a 38-3 thrashing by the only team that was worse than them in 2011. But, at least with the Steve Spagnuolo-version of the Rams, production in the preseason was inversely related to the regular season. Take a look:
In 2009, they went 3-1 in the preseason and finished 1-15.
In 2010, they went 3-1 in the preseason again and finished 7-9.
In 2011, they went a perfect 4-0 in the preseason and then dropped a 2-14 on us.
So perhaps we should convince ourselves to take a breather and desperately try to find a bright side to yesterday’s mess. (Hey, Lance Kendricks didn’t drop the first pass thrown to him!) Of course, that doesn’t mean that we can’t pluck out a few overreactions on the ESPN message board and enjoy the panic:
The Reboot of the LA conspiracy
–
Totally Reasonable Game 1 Conclusions
–
Physical Reaction to Rams Football
–
The Fisher Fan Support Ultimatum
–
The True Slap in the Face
–
Who knew that the struggles of the current St. Louis NFL team would make fans of the franchise that used to occupy the role of perennial awful St. Louis NFL team feel better about themselves. That’s a kick in the groin if we’ve ever seen one.

Wow, talk about over reacting! People really think Jeff Fisher is going to turn around a team that has been lousy for years in one game???? They were 4-0 last year in the preseason and got embarrassed the rest of the way, maybe Fisher knows it’s not about winning preseason games — hang in there, give them a chance.
