We’ve often postulated that Rex Hudler was the “Godfather of Grit” in St. Louis. By most accounts, he started St. Louis’ modern-day fascination with small, overachieving ballplayers who may or may not have a bizarre first name (see: Stubby, Skip and Tripp).

Oh, and one more: Bo.

In an episode where we paid homage to David Eckstein, we figured it was only proper to bring one of his scrappy counterparts onto The JoeSportsFan Show and test his podcasting tenacity.
