Local sports headlines make us chuckle. Been there, done that.
To wit, you can usually find me (via Twitter) attempting to guess what the following day’s front page sports headline will be. It regularly develops into a battle of poorly-executed puns that we’re sure makes Busch Stadium’s Sign Guy extremely giddy.
There’s one local scribe who we think deserves a gratuitous hat tip for headline prognostication excellence; John Marecek from 550 KTRS. We wrote off Mr. Maracek’s first correct prediction as chance….
But yesterday, he struck again…
This second correct guess doubled Marecek’s VORP (Value Over Replacement Prognosticator) and we’re left wondering if he has a source on the inside.
