Week 1: The Other Mizzou Mascot Welcomes Southeastern LA

The most anticipated football season in recent Mizzou history is just 48 hours away from kickoff.  While the SEC conference slate isn’t set to begin until next week, there is still business to be taken care of when Southeastern Louisiana arrives in Columbia for Saturday’s game.

Travel was no doubt a challenge for the Lions considering the massive storm that has been spinning over their state since early this week.

As is tradition amongst their new brethren, Mizzou fans just want to make sure that their opponent each week gets a taste of midwestern hospitality.  One fan in particular is going out of his way:

He’s like Truman the Tiger, only his costume isn’t a full-body animal suit, rather an 18-inch Missouri Compromise flowing down his back, a complementary strip of Selleck-level lip fur and artwork on his shoulder that you know makes AD Mike Alden swell with pride.

We have a feeling that we might see this True Son again this season…
