On NCAA Selection Sunday, cameramen around the nation have one task: be front-and-center to capture the relief, the excitement, the disappointment and flailing fists to the groin. Literally and figuratively, apparently.
Oh, yes.
Shots to the nuts happen. It’s part of being a dude. When they do happen, as it did to SLU guard Kyle Cassity on Sunday night, you prefer that it not be during a celebration of your school’s first NCAA appearance since 2000.
You also prefer if your local news outlet didn’t feature the photo on the front page of their website.
But hey, beggars can’t be choosers.

Is it ironic or intentional that the ad that was immediately to the right of the photo was for something called “Crunchy Nuts”? Well, played STL Today.
