Brett Hull Statue, One Day Before Unveiling (Hint: It’s Just a Box)

I have little/no idea why people are in a tizzy over the Brett Hull statue *before* it’s unveiled on Saturday’s Home Opener. I mean, this thing could very well be revealed without Hull’s signature mullet, which would be a tragedy.

Nevertheless, since we posted photos of the statue base a few weeks ago, we’ve been getting requests to post updated progress in front of the Scottrade Center. So, here it is.

Spoiler alert for those not willing to scroll a few inches: it’s just a huge box.

At the very least, the massive piece of uninspiring hardware provides some mystique. Personally, we’re holding out hope that Ken Wilson is stashed inside.
