The Rams got new jerseys. Well, kind of.

The NFL and Nike unveiled the next generation of uniforms for all 32 teams at the Brooklyn Navy Yard this afternoon.

No major surprises were expected and the changes were expected to be more “evolutionary” as opposed to “revolutionary”, meaning the league likely rejected Nike’s proposal to sprinkle Seattle’s bright green throughout every uniform.  Thus, this event was expected to feature new fabrics instead of visual graphics.  Frankly, it was a little underwhelming.  We suppose witnessing a room of media heads fawn over Nike’s initiative to infuse aircraft metal into NFL pants *could* be considered as entertainment.  But still, our focus is the Rams, who didn’t get any noticeable aesthetic improvements.

Kudos to Steven Jackson for standing still long enough for the media contingent to take photos with their cellphones.

Those receiver gloves are pretty slick.  Imagine how cool dropped passes will look this season!
